This biographical drama focuses on the fascinating life of Texas billionaire Howard Hughes (Tommy Lee Jones). A Renaissance man, he succeeds in such wildly divergent endeavors as aviation and Hollywood filmmaking. But for all his outward dash and bravado, Hughes was privately tormented by demons that got the better of him over time. Toward the end of his life, the once-dashing man becomes a recluse, refusing to cut his hair and nails, and communicating only with his most trusted advisers - even shutting out his oldest friends.
