A two-part miniseries based on Shirley MacLaine's autobiographical book “Out on a Limb” about her journey to the far reaches of self (and in some instances "out of" herself). The film recreates her love affair and international romance with a married man (Charles Dance), and the amazing spiritual trek which takes her around the world and fosters in her a growing belief in reincarnation, the possible existence of extraterrestrials and, most importantly, the immortality of the human soul.
